CT Insider has been selected to vote on the WNBA End-of-Season Awards, including MVP, Rookie of the Year, and Most Improved Player. According to ESPN, this year's league voting panel is made up of 68 media members representing all 12 WNBA markets, along with members of the national media.

Each person approaches their voting differently and makes different choices. While some votes are easy (MVP is actually a category unto itself), others are difficult and involve comparing stats and eyeballing one player against another.

While the official winners will be announced during the playoffs by the league, here are our votes for the WNBA awards:

Most Valuable Player
Aj’a Wilson, Las Vegas: No one plays better than Wilson. The South Carolina alumna became the first WNBA player to score 1,000 points in a single season this year and also reset the league’s all-time scoring average record to 26.9. Wilson, 28, led the WNBA in points, rebounds (451) and blocks (2.6 per game) during the regular season.

She was a living nightmare for opponents to defend because of her ferocity and ability to score from anywhere (her 51.8% field goal percentage led the league among players averaging 15 or more attempts per game).

Her relentless power (playing a career-high 34.4 minutes per game) made her an unexpected threat on both ends of the court.

Wilson, who won MVP in last year’s Finals, has posted double-digit scoring streaks in her last 51 games (a streak that dates back to August 2023).

In 2023, she led Las Vegas to a second straight championship and finished third in league MVP voting despite averaging then-career-best 22.8 points and 9.5 rebounds. She’s been much better this year.

If Wilson wins, she’ll become just the fourth player in WNBA history to win MVP three times, joining Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie and Lauren Jackson. Wilson won MVP in 2020 and 2022. Wilson also has a chance to become just the second player to win the award uncontested, after Cythia Cooper did so in the league’s inaugural season in 1997.

Runner-up: Napheesa Collier, Minnesota: Collier is having one of her best seasons
